Step 1 : Click on "+" button on connect page to create a new connection.



Step 2 : Click on "Amazon S3" from File section from list of datasources

 



Step 3: Provide required details listed below to upload a file . Click on upload to upload the file.

  • Datasource Name - name for the data source connection you want to give
  • Datasource Tags - Tags you wish to associate with respective datasource
  • Bucket Name - The name of the S3 bucket storage where your file is located
  • AWS Access key ID- The access key for your amazon s3 account
  • AWS Access key Secret - The amazon s3 secret access key for the account mentioned
  • File Type - A drop down that lets you select the type of the file you wish to upload through your amazon s3. Currently only delimited, log, JSON file types are supported.
  • URL- Provide the location URL of the file within the bucket (without leading "/"). Please ensure to include the file extension along with the filename.
  • Depending on the file type chosen from the drop down, you will get the rest required fields to be filled accordingly.

 


Step 4:  Click on validate and you will be redirected on preview screen if file is uploaded successfully and see a sample of data from file.
